Why Jung

Jung encourages us to take seriously our symptoms of distress, whether they be states of anxiety, depression, addictions, loss of vitality or a general sense of unease, with a view to understanding not just their cause but also helping us to make changes that would contribute to our sense of well being.

He saw our adult years as filled with possibilities and challenges for growth for which we, as a culture, are not adequately prepared. Among these challenges is the task of finding out who we are, so that we can begin to live more in connection with our own nature.

Jung saw the search to live our life according to our own spirit while also being mindful of our ties to family and community as one of the essential challenges and tasks of our adult years.
